GONE TO DUST
Book 2 in The Gravediggers Series
June 20, 2017
Praise for Gone to Dust, Book 2:
“Lucky fans of the super-talented Hart don’t have to wait long for the second installment of her new romantic suspense series Gravediggers, as the installments are being released back to back. In the first book, Hart set up her world where five men, declared dead to the world at large, work for a super-secret anti-terrorism force. Hart’s new heroine is a very talented romance writer who takes no crap from anyone — even secret commandos. Miller and Elias are both funny and sexy together, which helps make this book nonstop entertainment, with plenty of witty bantering and thrilling adventure!”—RT 4 ½ star TOP PICK Review
“Modern Cliterature…Enjoy [this] lusty [passage] adapted from summer’s raciest reads…”—Cosmopolitan, July 2017
Praise for The Darkest Corner, Book 1:
“Gritty, deadly, and peppered with unexpected humor, this supersexy, adrenaline-charged story will keep readers on edge and breathless until the last page.”—Library Journal
“Liliana Hart sets up a fascinating and intriguing premise of individual men forced into taking extreme steps. Her heroine’s reluctant immersion into this world allows readers to discover the treachery and danger looming all around…a thrilling series!”—RT
“A cool blend of entertaining antics and suspenseful moments, with a slightly morbid sense of humor thrown in for good measure. (Our heroine was a mortician, after all!) I had a blast getting to know this cast of characters and can’t wait to see what exciting things Liliana Hart has in store for us next.”—Harlequin Junkie
About the book:
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Liliana Hart’s second book in her sexy, suspenseful Gravediggers series, GONE TO DUST, features an elite group of mysterious men who might be dead to the world, but are also tasked with saving it—and no one can ever know.
The Gravediggers aren’t exactly what they seem. They’re the most elite of the world’s fighting forces—and all they have in common is that they’ve been betrayed by the countries they’ve died for. Because they are dead. To their country, their military, and their families. Sometimes the dead do rise…
Miller Darling is one of the most popular romance novelists of her time. Not bad for a woman who doesn’t believe in romance. She’s as logical as they come, and she doesn’t believe in happily-ever-afters. What she does believe in is family, so when her brother disappears, she doesn’t think twice about packing her bag and her laptop and heading out to find him.
Elias Cole lived and breathed the live of a Navy SEAL. Now he’s “dead” and his hero’s honor tarnished. The only thing keeping him sane are the men who are like him—The Gravediggers—and the woman who makes his head spin. He’s never met anyone like Miller Darling. Her smart mouth and quick wit keep him on his toes, and damned if he doesn’t find that appealing.
When Miller receives a package from the brother who abandoned her asking for help, it’s clear she’s in over her head with the mess he’s gotten himself into. She needs a professional, and Elias is just the man for the job. Only her brother is a former SEAL—the man who left his team to die—and Elias is more interested in vengeance than saving his life.

I personally enjoyed the characters in the book, Miller and Elias’ banter was hilarious. Their chemistry scorching, and I couldn’t put the book down! It was sexy and packed with adventure. I’ve not had a chance to read the first book, and I don’t think I missed out on anything, except for an amazing story. (I’ve remedied that, by buying the first book in the series). But you can definitely follow along and get the gist as you get a bit of backstory from how the gravediggers were born. I’m invested in the series and can’t wait to see who the others fall for! Bravo! Excellent read!
Karin Tabke’s The Consequence
THE CONSEQUENCE, the explosive conclusion to The Chronicles of Katrina, will leave you breathless and panting for more.
They have been dared and doubled-dared, and they’ve flirted with the truth, but as Kat and Simon tumble deeper into their sexual odyssey, their love for one another blooms magnificent and fierce. Soon their love is threatened but Kat’s certain nothing can tear them apart. Then duty calls and Simon’s betrayal is revealed.
Will Kat run again or will she finally stand and fight for her man?
What can I say! Tabke does it again in this final installment of Kat and Simon! The story picks up right where we left off in The Truth. Simon’s crazy ass sister-in-law, slash ex-bed buddy is in the kitchen with breakfast! Kat was a better woman than I ever would have been, because had that been me, well let’s just say, Knock out Kings, would have wanted to feature me on Best Knock Outs in 2014!
Yes, that’s how into the story I was! I felt what Kat felt, and I was like, “girl don’t walk away, don’t do it! Stand your ground and be all up in that crazy broads face! But Kats character handled it well, she even gave Simon an ultimatum. He didn’t like it of course but in the end it all works out for the best. We get to find out a little more about the crazy chick Amanda, and although I would have liked to see the two woman go at it, I was okay that they didn’t. But man, my spidey senses were on fire! I just kept say, “that girl is going down!”
Sadly it doesn’t happen the way I envisioned, but again its okay. There was enough drama to last a life time in The Consequence and we learned a few more things about Simon and the mysterious death of his brother Mark. This book has it all! Suspense, hot sex, drama, and OMG! MORE HOT COPS! I don’t want to give out too many spoilers here, but let me just say we haven’t seen the last of the HOT MEN OF THE BAY AREA! Tabke has promised us this and I am sooooo happy!
Did I mention that the book has some hawt sex? If I didn’t let me say it one more time… HOT S.E.X! Every woman needs a Simon in her life!
Everything ties together nicely in this last installment of this series. My only regret is I would have like to have seen like a flash forward into Kat and Simon’s future. I wanted to know what their children’s names were. What kind of wedding did they have. Did any more women come out of the closet? You know those types of things. But Karin has assured her fans that we have not seen the last of this dynamic power couple. I’m looking forward to checking in on them, and meeting some of Bay Area’s finest boys in blue!
Simon as always saves the day! Kat finds out that she can see herself with Simon in a forever ever kind of way and well Evan gets whats coming to him! THE BASTARD! This is what I love about Karin’s characters. They are so real and tangible you can’t help but get sucked into their story.
Be sure to pick up your copy of Karin Tabke’s The Consequence, because Simon says so!

Untamed Fire is a story about love…
Love which has no boundaries, love that doesn’t observe social classes, love that is unconditional, and love that is all encompassing.
Don Raphael Cabrillo is visiting the San Gabriel Mission in Los Angeles, the first time he comes into contact with Gabrielle (Gaby).
When she ‘steals’ his horse – practically right out from under him – he is angry beyond measure and demands punishment and restitution from Padre Jose.
Gabrielle returns quickly with one of her little brothers in tow, she’s relieved he is not truly hurt.
She encounters a very angry Ranchero, and Gaby soon learns that she is to leave with Don Cabrillo, to serve a six month sentence at his hacienda. She will serve his mother, Dona Maria, in the capacity of a companion.
Gaby adamantly tries to explain she only ‘borrowed’ the horse, because she believed her brother was hurt badly – and the horse provided the fastest way to get to Juan. Don Cabrillo will not listen, he has accused and convicted her of stealing his prized horse, Bella.
Once they arrived at the hacienda, Gaby is introduced to the other staff members and also to Dona Maria.
Don Cabrillo has given her strict instructions of how to care for his mother, and what he expects her to do. Gaby is also told that she is expected to follow the instructions without variance or question.
Don Raphael is soon to learn how willful, hard headed Gaby is, and will do what she feels is right, no matter what she is told. He realizes now why the Padre asked several times “are you sure this is what you want – Gaby as a companion to your Mother?” He realizes that Padre Jose was trying to tell him he would have his work cut out for him. Gaby is like NO other woman. She questions every order, disobeys almost always, and has a sharp wit and unending curiosity.
Within a couple of weeks, Gaby has Dona Maria up and out of her wheelchair enjoying picnics down by the river.
At every turn Don Raphael is challenged by Gaby. Her inquisitive nature and defiant ways has stirred more than his anger. Against all, Raphael finds that he is greatly attracted to Gaby.
When rumors of Gaby’s parentage get back to Raphael, he takes the time to investigate. What he finds out turns Gaby’s world upside down.
Will Don Cabrillo be able to help Gaby come to terms with the information he has figured out?
Will Gaby find the courage to tell Raphael how she feels about him? Will Raphael ignore their social stations and confess his feelings for her?
I really enjoyed reading Untamed Fire. Romance usually isn’t my first choice to read, but this book drew me in and I couldn’t seem to turn the pages fast enough. The story is excellent…and I’m looking forward to the release of the sequel Renegade Love.
“No! No!” Juan cried. “He’s taking you away because you stole his horse and he’s going to hang you.”
Gaby hugged the trembling little boy. “No, Juan, that’s not true. Senor Cabrillo isn’t going to hang me.”
“Yes, he is,” Juan insisted. “Pablo says all horse thieves get hanged.”
“I’m not a horse thief.”
Juan pulled himself away from her. “But Senor Cabrillo thinks you are. He’ll take you to the big tree at the end of town and hang you there.”
Gaby’s mother began to cry and her sisters soon followed. The young woman took Juan by the hand, grabbed the black shawl bundled with her few clothes and meager possessions and ordered the others to follow.
Rafael was standing next to Bella speaking with Padre Jose when the Alvardo family with Gaby in the lead, emerged from around the corner of the church,
“Ay de mi,” the padre said, crossing himself.
Rafael smiled. “You appear to cross yourself whenever Gaby is near, Padre. Does she require that much help from above?”
The padre raised his head toward heaven and nodded.
Gaby stopped in front of Rafael. Even though she was just shy of six inches over five feet, she still had to tilt her head back to meet his eyes. She paused a moment, realizing for the first time just how handsome the ranchero was. His complexion was touched with the deep richness of days spent in the sun, and his eyes… Gaby stared. The strange blue color scorched like a hot blue sun.
“Did you want something, Gaby?”
His voice was deep and smooth like a warm caress that lingers and leaves a tingle along the flesh. “Yes,” she said a bit more boldly then she intended.
“What is it?’ he asked with a sternness that brooked no disrespect.
She reined in her spirited nature, held her head high, and added a wide smile. “Do you intend to hang me?”

When reckless actor Jonathan Faversham sets eyes on Miss Trumpet, he knows he’s found the partner of his life. But Faversham carries ruinous baggage from a dark past. Entangled in lust and ambition, Lizzie gives him her heart and they reach the heights together. Until Lizzie gets more applause than he…
From the magnificence of Regency palaces and the Theatre Royal Covent Garden to the sun-baked pyramids of Egypt and the arms of a real-life Samson, Lizzie is never far from trouble. As her brother rides to glory with Wellington in the Napoleonic Wars, great events threaten her survival. Danger lurks behind stage curtains, when a madman sets fire to take her life and she lifts a sword in revenge.

This story takes you to 1800’s London during the Napoleonic war. The main character, Elizabeth Trumpet, is a young impressionable sixteen year old girl in upper-middle class society. Her father is a noted thespian on the London stage. Lizzie wants desperately the fame her father has, but she soon realizes all is not what it seems. Her mother falls ill suddenly and Lizzie is sent to fetch her father and finds him at another women’s house. She learns her father is this great husband she believes him to be. He has run the family into debt with his showy theatre lifestyle. When Lizzie mother dies from her ailment, her father literally looses his mind. Through struggles and hard work, Lizzie rises to fame on London’s stages. She meets and marries Jonathan Faversham. She believes her life is everything she once dreamed of but Faversham isn’t who she thinks he is. Lizzie must struggle with the truth and with the act that saves her life but ultimately ruined her career. Lizzie finds out more of the truth about her marriage later on as she travels. She goes on great adventures to Egypt and finds comfort and friendship along the way.
Will Lizzie return to the stage or live an adventurous life traveling to exotic locations. You must read to find out. This was a great read and I recommend to anyone who likes adventure and historical stories.

The coming of the Blood Moon will lead two Lycan packs into war, spur two rival brothers into conflict, and spark an act of vengeance so evil that its effects will be felt for generations.
One woman stands at the center of it all…
After years of waiting, the Blood Law is at last avenged. Lycan Alpha Lucien Mondragon takes revenge on his brother, Rafael. Lucien is poised to slay Rafael’s life mate, the Lycan/Slayer half-breed Falon- but cannot complete the kill. For Falon’s mystical powers and fiery nature awaken a heart Lucien thought long dead. Instead of ending her life, Lucien defiantly marks Falon as his own, tormenting his brother to insanity and spurning Rafael’s blood thirst for his own revenge.
Though terrified by the savage Lucien, Falon finds herself inexplicably drawn to his primal rage and strength by a desire she cannot resist. Torn between the true love she has for Rafael and the burning hunger she holds for Lucien, Falon knows that the will of her heart will lead her to her destined life mate. But it may also doom the Alpha brothers-and the Lycan race-to extinction..
I waited and waited and waited for this book! I was NOT disappointed! Right from the beginning it picks up right where it left off in Blood Law. Rafa and Fallon have agreed to abide by what ever the council decides. It could mean the difference between life and death for both Rafa and Fallon. This stems back from a family feud between Rafa and Luca each alphas of both their packs. Pack Vulkasin and Pack Mondragon. Lucien wants revenge! Rafa slayed his chosen and the term an eye for an eye is literal. Rafa states his chosen Mara was a slayer and of course Luca disagrees whole heartedly.
The council decides to give Fallon over to Lucien and it sets the three of them on a course that is chain reactive for all the packs!
I loved every minute of this book and kept turning pages! I was angry when I had to put the book down, I didn’t want to stop! Fallon doesn’t want to have feelings for Lucien but he gets her on a soul deep level. He brings out a side of her she has never know before. Even with Rafa… Can I just stop right there and say this? WEREWOLF SANDWICHING IS IN!
Now Lucien never thought he would be able to open his heart to another and finds out that he is wrong in ways that only make a girl go *swoon* He’s dark and sinful and sexy as hell! He’s unique bedside manner can be considered taboo to most people but I found that Tabke took you to the edge and pulled you over in a safe way. Who doesn’t want a little werewolf in them? *winks* I know from just seeing some of the comments that people had issues with some of the more “taboo” scenes. But damn she did it up right! I say it was perfect for Luca’s personality, he lived on the edge, pushed the envelope not only with his emotions but with Fallon. He made her see a side of herself she didn’t know existed.
There is a lot of Rafa in this book and Fallon is equally torn between both brothers and finds that she can’t live without them. The power of three will unite the packs and vanquish the slayers for all time come the rising! And I am all for it as long as it entails the three of them tangled on the forest floor enjoying themselves! HA! I’m serious there is a scene in this book that you will enjoy if your into Werewolf Sandwiches!
I loved the dynamics of the packs and how they were all emotionally connected to their alphas, when the alphas mated the pack mated and when the alpha gets with cub then the packs will begin to reproduce. That is strong family connection right there! Then of course there are a few surprises there is Layla who Fallon recognizes from her past and then there is Fenrir and the ring! (In a Lord of the Rings voice) The one true ring to rule them all! The precious! Fallon tests her emotional boundaries as well as her physical and mental boundaries, she’s got powers beyond a Lycans.
I gotta say I know where this is headed and I am eager to see how it all plays out and of course Tabke leaves you on edge at the end wanting the next book NOW! Be prepared to get pulled into a world deep with emotions and heartache…. Because Bloodright will take you there and back again only to leave you wanting!
Hands down I enjoyed this book it gets more than 5 stars more like 10!

ALL FEAR THE ENEMY OF OLD
Driven by his insatiable need for revenge, Lothaire, the Lore’s most ruthless vampire, plots to seize the Horde’s crown. But bloodlust and torture have left him on the brink of madness—until he finds Elizabeth Peirce, the key to his victory. He captures the unique young mortal, intending to offer up her very soul in exchange for power, yet Elizabeth soothes his tormented mind and awakens within him emotions Lothaire believed he could no longer experience.
A DEADLY FORCE DWELLS WITHIN HER
Growing up in desperate poverty, Ellie Peirce yearned for a better life, never imagining she’d be convicted of murder—or that an evil immortal would abduct her from death row. But Lothaire is no savior, as he himself plans to sacrifice Ellie in one month’s time. And yet the vampire seems to ache for her touch, showering her with wealth and sexual pleasure. In a bid to save her soul, Ellie surrenders her body to the wicked vampire, while vowing to protect her heart.
CENTURIES OF COLD INDIFFERENCE SHATTERED
Elizabeth tempts Lothaire beyond reason, as only his fated mate could. As the month draws to a close, he must choose between a millennia-old blood vendetta and his irresistible prisoner. Will Lothaire succumb to the miseries of his past . . . or risk everything for a future with her?
Hardcover, 468 pages

I enjoyed this book soo much! I wasn’t the least bit disappointed in what Lothaire brought to the table! He was on point on everything! Cole opens us up to a world that pretty much is falling to pieces in Lothaire’s eyes. He’s constantly plotting his rewards to his Endgame.
When we are last with Lothaire he is trying to get off the island the immortals were being held prisoner at as he has to get to someone, we find out that it’s a woman, but we don’t know the story behind the mysterious woman. There was some questions that we were finally able to get answered, and of course with all of
Kresley’s books there were more created! We find out about Lothaire’s other side of the family which is a spin off or a melding of sorts to the IAD series, and they are Dacian.
I love her world building and all the characters we come in contact to in all of her stories! I LOVED LOTHAIRE SO MUCH MORE!
He’s mad, but he’s sane, compulsive and arrogant, but also hesitant when it comes to certain things, as well as calculating and manipulative! We get to see Lothaire in all his greatest strengths and then become introduced to all his weaknesses!
Kresley pairs Lothaire with a most unlikely mate, he hates humans!, but yet his mate is trapped in a human body! Or is it the human that has blooded him? All of these things don’t go unanswered!
Elizabeth is from the mountains she’s not rich nor does she care about what outfit would match well to her Prada bag. She’s capable and stubborn, but has this twang that at times I wanted to say “good lawd Ellie, didn’t the good lord give you good sense to speak right? I reckon he done taught you well, so go on then git on with it” While of course spitting out my tabbacky! LOL At first I didn’t like Ellie but her she was one determined human!
Lothaire doesn’t believe that Soraya the Blood Diety is his mate, and is convinced she is the key to his Endgame. He likes the body his mate has chosen, but doesn’t care for the backwoods mountain girl with no class. She’s sexually enticing, and surprises him at every turn keeping him occupied, but at the end of the day, he will cast her soul out in order to be with Soroya and take over the Horde and Dacian throne!
There is still the issue of La Dorada and her endless search to find Lothaire and take back the ring of sums, even if he doesn’t have the ring he will!
I love his arrogance with Ellie and everyone around him, there were key phrases in the book that made me laugh out loud! But I have to say that my favorite quote is when Elizabeth tells Lothaire he’s Narcissistic and Lothaire points out that he was before the myth and that in fact it should be called Lotharistic!
The sex scenes and the sexual tension between the two were just YOW! When Lothaire was in the presence of Soroya there was no spark, nothing. But when Ellie was around all he wanted to do was take her clothes off and have his wicked way with her. Lothaire was a beast in bed! And it shouldn’t be any other way! The man was just oozing sex appeal I can see how Ellie would have a hard time resisting his charms, if you could call them that!
Once Lothaire realized who his bride truly was the tables turned, and as you find out while reading the book Lothaire is a stickler for truth and loyalty he expects nothing less.
I enjoyed this story and has to say that this has to be one of my favorites in the series! Cade and Holly’s book as well as Conrad’s and Neomi’s is also right up there and I must admit I am very excited to see if Thad gets a book. I know it’s too soon but you know how these things sometimes go! I will be doing a another post where I will talking about the Kresley Cole book signing as well as meeting the notorious Dacian Lothaire!
If you haven’t read this book or the series then you deserved to be hung out to dry and left for the vultures! Because it’s that good!
